Ferrer’s clutch shots help UST outlasts FEU

 

Manila Philippines - Kevin Ferrer drilled in two consecutive three-pointers in the last 2:30 of the final quarter, enough for University of Santo Tomas to beat Far Eastern University, 69-67 in the UAAP Season 77 Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Ferrer scored a total of 18 points which included his crucial triples. Also, he scored at the right time and at the right place for the Tigers.

Adding the offensive attacks of the Tigers, Karim Abdul had 16 points and six rebounds. Kent Lao also exploded with 14 points, with his clinching basket at 19.5 second left.

FEU Tamaraws were just two points behind when Russell Escoto drilled a triple.

UST avoided a 0-2 start, the team is now 1-1.
