Ohio State vs Cincinnati football: TV Schedule, Odds, Point Spread, Preview

The Ohio State Buckeyes host the Cincinnati Bearcats in one of the football games on Saturday, September 27 at 6:00 PM, at the Ohio Stadium, Columbus, OH.

Coming off from a bye week, coach Urban Meyer and the entire coaching staff have to contemplate on how the offense works effectively with the new quarterback J.T. Barrett. After losing to the Hokies in Week 2, the Ohio State spirit was totally devastated.

Disappointment had to go away as Barrett delivered his best performance by matching a school record with six touchdown passes over low-key Kent State on September 13. Barrett put everything on the table after that excruciating and painful 35-21 loss to Virginia Tech.

The Buckeyes motivation is back and they are not out of contention this early, just a little margin of error now. Barrett completed 23 of 30 passes for 312 yards with the six touchdowns against one interception.

Michael Thomas and Devin Smith had two catches apiece for 136 yards and three touchdowns combined. They were the recipients of those long passes of the quarterback.

Curtis Samuel would be manning the running back for the Buckeyes with the help of Ezekiel Elliot and Warren Ball. Absolutely, the running game of the Buckeyes must be moving the chains.

Cincinnati (2-0) can pull off an upset against the Buckeyes. The Bearcats outlasted Toledo, 58-34, on September 12 through the magnificent performance of Gunner Kiel who completed 25 of 37 passes for a whopping 418 yards and six touchdowns.

The Bearcats are very dangerous if Kiel can duplicate his game over the Buckeyes. Kiel connected to Mekale Mckay nine times for 175 yards and one touchdown. Johny Holton and Shaq Washington would be part of the offensive attacks of Cincinnati in this match.

Hosey Williams can be aggressive on the ground. He rushed for 103 yards in 14 carries last week. If williams can elevate his game over the defense of the Buckeyes, the Bearcats have a chance to win.

This is a game in which the Buckeyes have to fight for every inch. A loss for Ohio State would mean farewell to the college football playoff.
