Bills vs Texans: TV Schedule, Start Time, Odds, Highlights

 

The Buffalo Bills face the Houston Texans in one of the most contentious NFL games on Sunday at 1:00 PM ET at the NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas.

Texans Ryan Fitzpatrick has to play against his former team and he has to exert effort to capture a victory after losing the Giants 30-17 last Sunday. He threw for three interceptions and fumbled one over the tight defense of the Giants.

Fitzpatrick had started 53 games for the Bills from 2009-12. He got a rich contract worth $59 million in six years but his performance didn’t satisfy the Bills and he was released because of throwing 39 interceptions over 2011 and 2012.

Fitzpatrick completed 20 of 34 passes for 289 yards and one touchdown, but his three interceptions marred his game. He also rushed 34 yards in seven attempts and a score. Fitzpatrick understands that the destiny of his team is dependent on his game.

DeAndre Hopkins had 116 yards in six receptions while Damaris Johnson had 56 yards in two receptions. They are important in running the offense of the Bills if they have to win this game. The status of Arian Foster is not yet revealed. However, rookie Adrian Blue had 78 yards on 13 carries last week as replacement for Foster.

After a 2-0 start, the Buffalo Bills suffered their first loss last week against the San Diego Chargers, 22-10. They were shattered by San Diego’s defense that outperformed the Seahawks several weeks ago.

Buffalo has to storm back this game through quarterback EJ Manuel. He completed 23 of 39 passes for 238 yards and one touchdown last week. If his team is going to win, he has to assert himself also on the ground. Fred Jackson caught 78 yards in eight receptions and a TD over the defense of San Diego. Scott Chandler added 74 yards in five receptions.

The Bills know the strength and weaknesses of Fitzpatrick. They can pressure the opposing quarterback to force turnovers or interceptions to win this match. By have a better defense against the Texans, the Bill would come out winning.
