Florida State vs Wake Forest Football: TV Schedule, Odds, Point Spread, Preview and Predictions

After almost being upset by the NC State Wolfpack, the Florida State Seminoles gird up against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday at 3:30 PM at the Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium, Tallahassee, FL.

Florida State looks different from the team that won the championship in 2013, overpowering the opposing teams, while in the first four games of the 2014 season the Seminoles won the previous two games tightly.

In the previous meetings of Florida State and Wake Forest, the Seminoles pulled off a 59-3 victory over the Demon Deacons. Jameis Winston didn’t show up his best by completing 17-of-28 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns, but threw an interception. However, the defense of the FSU football contained the Demon Deacons offense. They held Wake Forest to just 165 yards of total offense.

Florida State’s vulnerability has been observed in the last two games over Clemson and NC State. Winston completed 26 of 38 passes for 365 yards and four touchdowns and two interceptions against NC State. He rallied his troops at the tail end of the 3rd quarter for the Seminoles to win, 56-41.

Winston concentrated his passes to Rashad Greene who had 125 yards one touchdown in 11 catches and Jesus Wilson who had 109 yards and two touchdowns in six receptions. Moreover, the running offense was led by Karlos Williams with 126 yards and three touchdowns in 21 runs.

The Seminoles have to find ways to make this game lopsided early in the second quarter. They need to breakaway as early as possible to avoid any potential upset.

Wake Forest (2-3) would love to alter its destiny by beating the No. 1 team in the FBS. Wake Forest failed to overthrow Louisville after leading the game 10-7 in the third quarter. Instead, the Demon Deacons lost 20-10.

Quarterback John Wolford completed 19 of 34 passes for 122 yards but he was -53 in the rushing game. If the Demon Deacons would have to win this game, Wolford needs to play great. Moreover, the running offense should be effective over FSU.
