LSU football vs Louisiana-Monroe: TV Schedule, Odds, Point Spread, Preview

The 10th-ranked LSU takes on ULM in one of the college football games Saturday, 7:00 PM ET at the Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA.

The success of the Tigers (2-0) can be credited to the young quarterback and receivers who know how to play the offense of coach Les Miles. Though this game is expected to be lopsided, the Tigers are playing against a 2-0 ULM football team.

Miles has been utilizing two quarterbacks who are capable of leading the team into moving the chains. Anthony Jennings continues to stand as the starting quarterback. Jennings has thrown for 427 yards and five touchdowns to keep his position as the starter over freshman Brandon Harris, who threw for 62 yards against Sam Houston State last Saturday.

Because of the depth of the Tigers in the receiving end, Malaqui Dupre and Trey Quinn provide the threats downfield. Moreover, Travin Dural and John Diarse would be the primary targets of the quarterbacks.

LSU is running the ball most of the times because of the new quarterbacks, after the departure of senior quarterback Zach Mettenberger. Furthermore, junior receivers Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr were no longer in the roster as they departed also.

In the two games they played, the Tigers rushed 105 of 144 total plays. Miles intentionally selected more plays on the ground because the quarterbacks were just learning the playbook.

With running backs Terrence Magee and Kenny Hilliard, the Tigers have the formidable offense on the air. Furthermore, freshmen Leonard Fournette and Darrel Williams are included in the offensive running package.

Louisiana-Monroe defeated Wakeforest, 17-10, through defense that allowed only 94 yards. Last Saturday, the Warhawks outlasted Idaho 38-31 through the rushing touchdown of Centarious Donald with nine seconds left in the game.
