Michigan State Spartans vs Wyoming Cowboys: Odds, Point Spread, TV Schedule, Preview

Michigan State takes on Wyoming in one of the college football games on Saturday at the Spartan Stadium, East Lansing, MI.

For the second consecutive weeks, Michigan State is playing yet another team that is more than four touchdowns underdog. Michigan State would love to win but not a game that is anticipated to be lopsided.

Michigan State (2-1) is ranked 9th in the nation despite losing a game against the Oregon Ducks. The Spartans just came from a 73-14 victory over Eastern Michigan last Satuday. They pounded the ball with ease and their defense was in total force, eliminating threats from the opponents’ offense.

”Every player we put in there we expect to play hard, and that is what they did,” Coach Mark Dantonio of Michigan said. ”You can’t ask them to slow down. I don’t want to run the score up on anybody, but you have to play every play to the fullest. The game went one-sided because of turnovers, I think.”

The game over Eastern Michigan was a complete domination from the Spartans. They played extremely great in the offense as well as in the defense. Furthermore, they secured the game early in the first half when they scored 49-0. For Michigan State, this game is about sharpening the players for improvement for the future games.

The Wyoming Cowboys are completely different from the EMU. Wyoming is fresh from a tight win over FAU 20-19 last Saturday through the extraordinary performance of runningback Shaun Wick who had 111 yards and one touchdown in 14 attempts. Moreover, D.J. May added 71 yards and a touchdown in 15 runs.

With the firepower in the running game, the Cowboys can upstage a win over the Spartans. Colby Kirkegaard completed 10 of 23 passes for 161 yards and he maintained his composure down the stretch.

If Wyoming controls the time on the offense because of its running game, then they have the chance to pull off an upset. This is about breaking the defense of the Spartans for the Cowboys to have a shot of stealing the match.
