Warriors stun Archers in a come-from-behind victory

The Red Warriors stunned the Green Archers, 68-66, to stay alive in the chase for the Final four in the UAAP Season 77 men’s basketball tournament.

Bong Galanza rallied his troops 51-61 down and finished with a team-high 21 points, including a turnaround jumper that tied the game at 63 with 55.4 seconds left.

 

The University of the East Red Warriors lead the game over De La Salle University Green Archers, 36-27, with 5:36 left in the third quarter.

UE tries to keep the lead as the Green Archers are pulling off a rally through star Jeron Teng. The Red Warriors defense continuously containing the offense fo the Archers to stay afloat with the advantage.

Before the start of the game, De La Salle coach Juno Sauler understands the toughness of the Red Warriors. In fact the Archers had difficulties in winning the first round game, coming from behind in a 60-58 win.

EU coach Derrick Pumaren would utilize his players to attack the heart of the defense of the Archers.
