Bears vs Panthers: TV Schedule, Start Time, Odds, and Scores

The Chicago Bears meet the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at 1:00 PM ET at the Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC.

Chicago would love to storm back after losing to the Packers last week, 38-17, in which they didn’t score in the second half. The Bears totally overwhelmed by the Packers offense as their defense couldn’t contain Aaron Rodgers. Without a doubt, the Bears would give a fight, regardless of playing on the road.

Quarterback Jay Cutler threw for 256 yard in 22 of 34 passes with two touchdowns but his two interceptions were crucial. Martellus Bennett would be one of the targets of Cutler to move the chains. Bennet had 134 yards over the Packers.

The Bears starts their journey of playing three consecutive games. By already beating the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Jets, the Bears have the confidence that they can attain victories in the coming games.

Offensively, Chicago averages 242.2 yards passing and 106.8 yards in rushing. Defensively, Chicago gives up 250.2 yards per game in passing and 122.5 yards in rushing.

While the Carolina Panthers had the success last season, they are still searching for the spark and consistency in both the offense and defense. In the first two games of the Panthers, they allowed 21 points to the opponents. But in the last two games, they yielded 75 points, which is a big disparity. Because of the tight defense in the first three games, they were allowing an average of 201.7 yards to their opponents. Something went wrong in the defense of the Panthers last Sunday in a game against the Ravens, 38-10. The Panthers gave up 327 yards to Joe Flacco as they suffered the defeat.

The Panthers have allowed 75 points the last two weeks after yielding 21 over the first two. They gave up an average of 201.7 passing yards in the first three games before Joe Flacco threw for 327 in last Sunday’s 38-10 loss at Baltimore.

Cam Newton completed 14 of 25 passes for 197 yards and one touchdown, yet he only rushed for seven yards in two attempts. This means that the offense of the Panthers was limited.

The running game was not working out perfect for the Panthers as they accumulated only 67 yards against Baltimore. DeAngelo Williams needs to assert himself in the rushing offense so that they would have a chance to win.

Offensively, Carolina averages 256.8 yards in passing and 71 yards in rushing. Defensively, Carolina yields 233 yards per game in passing and 140.8 yards per game in rushing.
