The Kansas City Chiefs responded immediately after the San Diego Chargers tied the game at 20-20 with less than one two minutes left. The Kansas City Chiefs would love to challenge the division leader San Diego.

With 2:43 left in the fourth quarter, the Chiefs have a 20-17 lead until the Chargers scored a field goal from Nick Novak 48 yard field goal that made the score 20-20 tie. The Chargers finished the plays in this drive for 58 yards.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs played with poise in the next possession to set up Cairo Santos in a 48 yard field goal that went in, breaking the deadlock, 23-20, with 21 seconds left.

Dwayne Bowe had 84 yards in five receptions to lead the way for the Chiefs in the receiving end. On the ground, Jamaal Charles had 95 yards in 22 attempts, including a touchdown.

Alex Smith completed 19 of 28 passes for 221 yards and one touchdown, while adding 29 yards in six attempts on the ground.

Philip Rivers completed 17 of 31 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns against one interception. He was clobbered by the defense of the Chiefs.

In the receiving end, Antonio Gates had only three receptions for 61 yards, though he was targeted five times. Keenan Allen caught six times for 58 yards.

Kansas City’s record is now at 3-3, while San Diego at 5-2.
