Carson Palmer injury news update, a possible torn ACL

The league leading Arizona Cardinals might have their biggest fear of the season about quarterback Carson Palmer’s status after Sunday’s game against the St Louis Rams.

According to ESPN, the Arizona Cardinals fear that their ace quarterback Palmer suffered a torn ACL in his left knee. with all the speculations, coach Bruce Arians said that the team would know Palmer’s prognosis, probably Tuesday for more tests to be concluded. Arians is scheduled to address the media again Monday afternoon.

“We don’t know anything about Carson’s injury or the length or whatever it is yet,” Arians said following Arizona’s 31-14 victory. “It is obviously a knee, but he will be evaluated and get an MRI and everything, and we’ll know something more hopefully by Tuesday.

“You see a guy, a captain, one of the big leaders on your team, you see him lying down on the ground, we’re human – before Carson is our quarterback, he’s our friend,” wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald said on Arizona’s official website. “You know his kids, you know his wife, and those are the things you think about.

Palmer suffered the injury on a play in which Rams safety Mark Barron sacked him with 11:21 left in the fourth quarter.

Palmer had just signed a three-year contract extension worth $50 million and $20.5 million guaranteed, two days before the injury. He has been the leader for the Cardinals as they posted a 8-1 record in the NFL.
