Houston Texans vs Cleveland Browns: TV Schedule, kick off times, Scores and Highlights

The Houston Texans take on the Cleveland Browns in one of the most anticipated NFL schedule on Sunday, November 14, at 1:00 PM ET at the FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio.

Cleveland is the most surprising football team in the NFL as it posted 6-3 already and in a contention for a playoff spot. In a much crowded AFC North, Cleveland is currently No 1 in the division, ahead of the Steelers, Ravens, and Bengals.

For the Browns, this is the first time that they led their division since Week 11 of 1994, according to CBS. In that same year, they went on to play in a wildcard game.

Cleveland seeks for its four game winning streak and that this team want to stay in chase for a playoff berth as they host the Texans. The Browns outlasted the Bengals 24-3 on November 6 on the road. They stunned the Bengals, who had never lost their regular season game since December 2012.

Bryan Hoyer completed 15 of 23 passes for 198 yards with no interceptions. Hoyer controlled the game for his team as he significantly played by not turning the ball over.

The Browns utilized the ground game through Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell who were combined for 135 yards and two touchdowns.

While the Browns played great in the offense, the defense did the damage by containing quarterback Andy Dalton to only 86 yards in 10 of 33 passing with three interceptions.

“There are no awards. There’s no prize for being 6-3,” Pettine said. “The only thing that’s done for us is our games are meaningful now. You still have to have the ability to put that one in a box and move onto the next one.”

Offensively, Cleveland averages 236.2 yards in passing and 117.8 in rushing. Defensively, Cleveland yields 232.3 in passing and 134.2 in rushing.

While the Cleveland Browns are progressing, the Houston Texans are searching for a spark. For this reason, Ryan Mallett will take his first start on Sunday’s NFL game. Mallet was a backup of Tom Brady in New England for three years.

Coach Bill O’Brien decided to used Mallet to replace Ryan Fitzpatrick for the rest of the season.

“I’ve been waiting four years for this,” Mallett said. “Now it’s my time to have an opportunity to show what I can do.”

The Texans’s problem surfaces on the passing offense in which they haven’t reached at least 300 yards this season. They averaged 209.7 in the nine games they played.

Meanwhile, running back Arian Foster has been ruled out because of groin injury incurred against the Eagles.

Offensively, Houston averages 209.7 yards in passing and 137 in rushing. Defensively, Houston yields 273.8 in passing and 117.3 in rushing.
