With Jeremy Langford on the ground, the Buckeyes would be in trouble. He carried 24 times for 128 yards and a score against the Buckeyes defense last year. It’s interesting to note that Langford rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-11 win over Michigan on October 25.

Offensively, Michigan State averages 260.4 yards per game in passing and 254.9 in rushing. Defensively, Michigan State yields 184 yards in passing and 95.4 in rushing.

Ohio State would love to utilize quarterback J.T. Barrett, both in passing and rushing. The game last year, Braxton Miller rushed for 142 yards in 21 carries but he was limited in his passes.

Offensively, Ohio State averages 245.9 in passing and 259.3 in rushing. Defensively, Ohio State yields 181.4 in rushing and 118.6 in passing.
