The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Green Bay Packers in one of the NFL games scheduled on Sunday, November 16, at the Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wis.
Philadelphia (7-2) considers this football game as a litmus test to where the improvements are in comparison to the 2013 season. While the Eagles are tied with Detroit at No 2 in the NFC behind Arizona, they have to play in one of the most difficult venues for a road team. Green Bay is still unbeaten at Lambeau and the team is looking to outlast the visiting team.
On the other hand, the Packers stay behind the Lions in the NFC North battle.
“Every game is a measuring stick at this time of the year,” Rodgers said. “These are important games when you start looking at potential seeding for the playoffs. They’re in a tight race in the East and we’re in a tight race in the North. You have to win these kind of games at home if you want to have postseason potential.”
IN a cold weather, Green Bay treasures winning games. The Packers love playing at home and they want to beat the rising Eagles.
Rodgers continues to be the primary reason why the Packers are having the success. Rodgers is No. 1 in the NFL with 8.33 touch-to-interception ration and 120.1 passer rating. He enjoys playing at home with 140.1 passer rating. With Rodgers playing his best, the Eagles would find themselves in a difficult situation.
Rodgers completed 18 of 27 passes for 315 yards and a whopping six touchdowns against no interceptions in a 55-14 victory over the Bears last Sunday. Rodgers played efficiently as he delivered his best in terms of locating his receivers at the end zone.
Jordy Nelson caught six passes for 152 yards and Randall Cobb added 72 yards in four receptions.
The high-octane offense of the Packers will have to dismantle the defense of the Eagles to win this match.
Offensively, Green Bay averages 256.4 yards in passing and 101.3 in rushing. Defensively, Green Bay yields 229.1 in passing and 142.6 in rushing.
The Eagles are on top of their division by beating Carolina 45-21 on Monday Night. With the new life at the quarterback position for MarK Sanchez, the Eagles were in good hands.
Sanchez threw for 332 yards and two touchdowns in his first start for the Eagles. He replaced the injured Nick Foles two weeks ago.
“I think when you take a step back, you appreciate it so much and you miss it so much,” Sanchez said. “I just kept telling myself when I was out that if I get a chance to get back out there, I don’t ever want to be out again until I retire. I want to keep playing.
Offensively, Philadelphia averages 289.6 yards in passing and 114.8 in rushing. Defensively, Philadelphia yields 251.7 in rushing and 115.2 in rushing.
