TCU vs Kansas football: TV Schedule, kick off time, point spread, scores and results, Horned Frogs need to win

The TCU Horned Frogs have jumped into No. 4 in the College Football Playoff after beating Kansas State on Saturday. TCU football is back in the conversation for a possible playoff schedule which would be the way to get into the national championship game.

The Horned Frogs face the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday’s college football schedule on November 14, at 3:00 PM ET at the Memorial Stadium, Lawrence, KS.

TCU (8-1, 5-1) has played five ranked teams in the last six game, losing only to then-No. 5 Baylor on October 11, 61-58. However, TCU’s problem would be something about their upcoming schedule in which no ranked teams. Strength of the schedule would play an important role for the selection committee in the next three weeks.

“If they can’t see what we have in front of us, I can’t help them,” coach Gary Patterson said. “Bottom line is, there it is. It’s laid out. Here’s what you’ve got to do. They’re smart kids. They’re mature. They understand what we’ve got to do.”

In a dominating game over Kansas State, 41-20, last Saturday, Trevone Boykin completed 23 of 34 passes for 219 yards and one touchdown, while he added 123 yards and three touchdowns in 17 rushes. Boykin has been the shining star of the TCU Horned Frogs.

While Boykin amassed 100 plus yards on the ground, Aaron Green had 171 yards and one touchdown in 18 attempts. The rushing offense of the Horned Frogs would try to destroy the defense of the Jayhawks.

Offensively, TCU averages 322.9 in passing and 227.4 in rushing. Defensively, TCU yields 246.1 in rushing and 128.3 in passing.

The Jayhawks are coming off a 34-14 victory over Iowa State on Saturday. Michael Cummings completed 24 of 40 passes for 278 yards and one touchdown to lead his team.

Corey Avery rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown and Tony Pierson added 101 yards and a touchdown, both rushed 17 times apiece.

Offensively, Kansas averages 207.8 yards in passing and 144.7 in rushing. Defensively, Kansas yields 249.1 in passing and 186.6 in rushing.
