Indianapolis Colts vs Denver Broncos: TV Schedule, Kick Off Time, Odds, Point Spread, Prediction

Who will play in Foxborough next week? Is it coincidence or destiny that brings the Broncos and Colts in the divisional playoff game on Sunday? The Indianapolis Colts have to face the quarterback that they thought has at the end of his career three years ago.

Move forward. After giving up on Peyton Manning to get Andrew Luck as the first draft, the Colts may not want to see their former quarterback playing against them.

The Colts will play the Broncos in the AFC playoff game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver. Manning will meet his former teammates and his successor in Indiana for the right to advance to the AFC Conference title game. It is the third meeting of the ball clubs since Manning parted ways with the Colts.

Manning, 38, has completed 66.2 percent of his passes and accumulated 4,727 yards, 39 touchdowns against 15 interceptions for the entire season. He led the Broncos yet to another playoff berth.

Demaryius Thomas is the primary target of Manning this season. Thomas has 1,619 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns while Emmanuel Sanders added 1,404 yards and nine touchdowns as part of the duo of the Broncos. Wes Welker is also a part of the receiving corps of the Broncos. Welker has not been that of target of Manning but his experience can be a factor.

Offensively, Denver averages 291.3 in passing (4th in the NFL) and 111.6 in rushing. Defensively, Denver yields 225.4 in passing (ninth in the NFL) and 79.8 in rushing (second in the NFL).

Denver’s defense is part of the equation in beating the Colts this upcoming AFC divisional game. The Broncos defense will have to contain the passing offense of the Colts.

The Indianapolis Colts are not problematic about playing against Manning. As a matter of fact, Manning’s replacement Luck, has delivered the best passing offense in the NFL this season.

Luck has completed 61.7 percent of his passes with 4,761 yards and 40 touchdowns against 16 interceptions. Luck showed poise when the game is on the line and he is up against one of the top defenses in the NFL.

With Luck at the center, wide receivers like TY Hilton, Dan Herron, Hakeem Nicks and Reggie Wayne are experience enough to dismantle the Broncos passing defense. Hilton has amassed 1,345 yards and seven touchdowns in the regular season while Reggie Wayne added 779 yards and two touchdowns.

Offensively, Indianapolis averages 305.9 yards in passing (1st in the NFL) and 100.8 in rushing. Defensively, Indianapolis yields 229.3 in passing and 113.4 in rushing.
