Erik Spoelstra: We don’t have any regrets

“We don’t have any regrets. He shouldn’t have any regrets. It was a historic four-year run“, said Miami Heat Coach Erik Spoelstro on LeBron James.

Spoelstra, beloved in the Philipines, had move on in terms of James’ decision to leave the Heat for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Spoelstra didn’t see it coming, even the entire Miami Heat, that includes Pat Riley. He understands the ups and downs in the NBA. He has been in the league for so long and he got used of it already.

Spoelstra told Sun-Sentinel:

“This is a big, monumental change that we didn’t necessarily anticipate but you have to respect it because when you’re a free agent in this league you have the right to make a decision that’s best for you and your family,” said Spoelstra. “When he made that decision that was best for his family, where his heart is, all you can do from our side is respond with respect and love.”

Spoeltra is now calm with the return of Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade to the Heat. He will utilized Luol Deng the coming NBA season, instead of James.
