The Baylor Bears take on the West Virginia Mountaineers in the Big 12 conference game on Saturday at 12:00 PM ET, at the Mountaineer Field, Morgantown, WV.

No. 4 Baylor continues to rise in the rankings after surviving the TCU Horned Frogs, 61-58, last Saturday. In a come-from-behind victory, the Bears displayed the high-powered offense to score 24 points in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Bryce Petty threw for a whopping 510 yards and six touchdowns against two interceptions to lead his team into the position of winning. Petty understands the game well and he plays his best when the game is on the line.

Antwan Goodley had 158 yards and two touchdowns while Corey Coleman had 144 yards and two touchdowns to lead in the receiving end. Furthermore, the addition of Kd Cannon with 12 yards and one touchdown would be crucial for the Bears.

Shock Linwood provided the firepower for the Bears when he rushed for 178 yards in 29 attempts. His contributions were very important especially in the fourth quarter.

Offensively, Baylor averages 371 yards per game in passing and 251.5 in rushing. Defensively, Baylor yields 195.3 yards per game in passing and 108.2 in rushing.

The Mountaineers are not intimidated by what they see on the Bears. While the Bears have the high-octane offense, the Mountaineers are efficient in playing with poise.

Part of the success of West Virginia (4-2) could be attributed to quarterback Clint Trickett who completed 28 of 44 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns in beating Texas Tech, 37-34. He is the leader of this team and he explodes if he is needed especially when it is a close game.

Kevin White and J. Thompson combined for 234 yards in receiving while getting one touchdown apiece to help their quarterback in playing with confidence.

There were two heads in the running game. Smallwood and Shell were combined for 233 yards on the ground to strengthen the attacks of the Mountaineers.

Offensively, West Virginia averages 368.3 yards in passing and 183.8 yards in rushing. Defensively, West Virginia yields 213.7 yards in passing and 179.3 yards in rushing.
