Fiesta Bowl 2014: Boise State vs Arizona football tv schedule, start time, scores and highlights


The Boise State Broncos will take on the Arizona Wildcats in the Vizio Fiesta Bowl on December 31, 4:00 P.M. ET at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.


Boise State was started 3-2 this season but won its last eight games, finishing with 11-2 record. The Broncos dominated the Utah State with a 58-19 triumph. Boise State won the Mountain West Championship versus the Fresno State (28-14).

The Broncos two losses were its first game in August 28 against Ole Miss (35-13) and  its last defeat was last September 27 against the Air Force(28-14) in which Boise State committed seven turnovers and was considered as the Broncos worst defeat.


Offensively, Boise State averages per game 278.2 in passing and 217.8 in rushing. Jay Ajayi, nicknamed “J-train”, will carry the offense for the Broncos. The junior running back had 1689 yards with 25 touchdowns in rushing; he had 536 yards to go with four touchdowns in receiving. His 25 rushing touchdowns in a season is second all time in mountain West History. Defensively, Boise State yields 225.0 yards in passing and 141.5 in rushing.

The Arizona Wildcats started strong this season with five game straight win. In that five games,Arizona defeated California(49-45) where Anu Solomon and Austin Hill completed a 47 yard pass, and a big  win over Oregon(31-24). Arizona worst defeat was against UCLA,17-7, in which the Wildcats did not manage to score in double digits.

Offensively, Arizona averages per game 277.7 in passing and 183.8 in rushing. Solomon, the freshman quarterback, will set the offense of Arizona, had 3,458 passing yards with 27 touchdowns. Defensively, Arizona yields 279.1 yards in passing and 170.4 in rushing. Arizona’s line backer Scooby Wright will anchor the defense.
