Melvin Gordon ran for an Outback Bowl-record 251 yards and three touchdowns, and Rafael Gaglianone kicked a 25-yard field goal in overtime to give the Badgers a 34-31 victory over the Tigers on Thursday.

The Auburn Tigers will meet the Wisconsin Badgers on January 1, 2015 12:00 P.M. ET in the Outback Bowl at Ramond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
The Tigers started the season with five game winning streak defeating the likes of the Arkansas Razorbacks (45-21), the Kansas State Wildcats (20-14) and annihilating the LSU (41-7). Auburn had a closed game win against the Ole Miss Rebels (35-31). The Tigers were dominant in its first games using its offense to outscore its opponents. But Auburn lost three of its last four outings. The Tigers showed some weakness in the defense, Auburn give up 30 or more points in its four losses this season. Auburn managed to score 44 points in its last game lost against Alabama, but the Tigers allowed the Red tides to score 55 points.
Offense is not a problem with the Tigers led by its senior quarterback Nick Marshall. Marshall had an impressive season, he had 2315 passing yards to go along with 18 passing touchdowns and 11 rushing touchdowns, and he also had seven interceptions. Auburn’s running back Cameron Atis-Payne led the SEC in Rushing; he had 11 touchdowns in 1482 total rushing yards this season while its junior wide receiver D’haquille Williams had received 730 yards and scoring five touchdowns. Marshall will be playing his final game at Auburn and Sophomore Jeremy Johnson will likely to replace him at quarter back position.
The Wisconsin Badgers won the Big Ten West Division Title this year. Badgers open the season with a defeat against the LSU Tigers, 28-24. Wisconsin won seventh straight game after it suffered its second lost against the Northwestern Wildcats, 20-14, last October 4.But the Ohio State Buckeyes annihilated the Badgers in its last game in the Big Ten Title, 59-0.
Melvin Gordon will carry the offense of the Badgers. The junior running back had a fantastic season thus far. Gordon totalled 2336 rushing yards with 26 rushing touchdowns he had also three receiving touchdowns. Joel Stave, Wisconsin’s quarterback, will run the play for the Badges he had a total of 1229 passing yards this season with eight passing touchdowns.
