NU overshadows the winless Adamson

nu_bulldogsManila, Philippines -The National University Bulldogs defeated the winless Adamson Soaring Falcons,71-50, in the second round of UAAP men’s basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The Bulldogs snapped their two-game losing streak to remain in the fourth spot of the standings with 6-3 record. They showed no mercy to the winless Falcons who dropped all its nine games in the season. With the lost, Adamson is now eliminated in the contention for the final four spot.

The Soaring Falcons started strong and was determined in seeking their first win of the season as they take an early lead in the first quarter, 14-10. But the Bulldogs answer right back scoring the last eight points to end the opening quarter. National University continued their hot shooting in the second quarter widening the gap 42-16 to end the first half.

Adamson put up a fight in the last quarter scoring the first 10 points in the fourth led by Don Trollano but the score was too far way to reach for a comeback.

Trollano had 15 points and eight rebounds for the Falcons while Jansen Rios added 10 points.
Play maker Gelo Alolino led the Bulldogs with stellar performance with 14 points, six boards, and five assists; Skipper Glenn Khobuntin also scores 12 points and grabs six rebounds for the National University.
