Penn State vs Massachusetts football: TV Schedule, Odds, Point Spread and Preview

The Penn State Nittany Lions take on the Massachusetts Minutemen in the Week 4 of the college football schedule on Saturday at 4:00 PM ET, September 20, at the Beaver Stadium, University Park, PA.

Penn State (3-0) has extremely survived the Rutgers game, in which the Lions rallied from a 10-point deficit through the five-yard TD run of Bill Belton, route to a 13-10 victory. Penn State pulled off the win to the surprise of the Scarlett Knights, who debuted in the Big Ten Conference.

With an offensive game prepared to overpower the Minutemen, Christian Hackenberg would surely find his receivers with ease. In that game against the Knights, Hackenberg led the Nittany Lions in that game winning, six-play, 80-yard to be on top.

By showing force in the defense, the Nittany Lions would implement the vaunted defense that intercepted Rutgers quarterback Gary Nova five times. Through that kind of defense, Penn State would have the opportunity to be 4-0.

Hackenberg completed 25 of 44 passes for 309 yards to bring Penn State to secure the lead in the last-minute of the game. Hackenberg has to thrive in this kind of offense with wide receivers DaeSean Hamilton and Geno Lewis, who had 103 and 109 yards respectively.

On the other hand, Massachusetts suffered a terrible defeat when Vanderbilt rallied, 34-31, last week. The Minutemen would not be pushover in this match. Quarterback Blake Frohnapfel can lead his team into a victory if the Nittany Lions would not pay attention to details.

Prohnapfel completed 17 of 34 passes for 205 yards and a 13-yard touchdown to Rodney Mills. Expect Tajae Sharpe to do his part in the air against the Nittany Lions. Last week, he had 73 yards in eight catches.

The Minutemen need to work out in the offense to have a chance to upset the Penn State Nittany Lions. Will the Penn State beat the Minutemen?

Penn State football vs Massachusetts tv schedule is on BTN.
Odds / Point Spread: -30-110 Penn State favorite
