Kiefer Ravena carries Ateneo to derail UE

Kiefer Ravena pulled off a crucial three-pointer with 14.5 seconds remaining to lift the Blue Eagles into a 78-73 victory over the University of the East in the UAAP Season 77 on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Ravena has been making the crunch shots for the Blue Eagles and he delivered his ability to sink baskets when the game is on the line.
With just a one point lead, Ravena scored the looper that provided the Blue Eagles 76-71. Also Ateneo is back on top of the standings with 7-2 record, while FEU and De La Salle are 6-2.
Chris Newsome led the scoring for the Blue Eagles with 23 points, while Ravend had 16 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
“It motivated me when I heard the UE crowd cheering ‘one big flop,’” said Ravena, whose game-clinching 3-pointer at the top of the key left the crowd in silence. “It really motivated me to play even more.”
Charles Mammie had 15 points and 18 rebounds for UE.
