Monday Night Football: TV Schedule, Live Stream for 49ers vs Rams, Start Time, MNF Highlights

The San Francisco 49ers face the St Louis Rams for a divisional matchup on the Monday Night Football live from the Edward Jones Dome in Missouri, start time at 8:30 PM ET.

St Louis are expected to battle and to be part of the dominant NFC West this 2014 season but only to have a 1-3 record after four games. The Rams have to climb a mountain to be in the playoffs because of their current situation.

Of course the Rams couldn’t anticipate injuries to occur as the season progresses. Sam Bradford is out of the season because of knee injury and backup Shaun Hill is injured also, leaving the rookie quarterback Austin Davis to find his way as the starter.

Davis threw for 375 yards in 29 of 49 passes and three touchdowns in a losing effort last Sunday to the Eagles, 34-28. However, that game provided coach Jimbo Fisher the eyesight for the future to use Davis as the starter. Davis also rushed for 30 yards in three attempts. Aside from that, he rallied the Rams back into the game by hitting three touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

The Rams have prepared for this season against their rivals in the NFC West. They have the No. 1 passing defense intended for teams like the Seahawks, Cardinals and even the 49ers.

During the game against the Eagles, Davis spread his passes to many receivers. He found Brian Quick for 87 yards, Kenny Britt for 68 yards, Jared Cook for 44 yards, Zac Stacy for 36 yards and Tavon Austin for 33 yards.

On the other hand the 49ers are restored back into playing with purpose. The 49ers have won their two recent games and they have overpowered their opponents in their last six Monday Night Football games. After the struggle in the in the early goings of the season, the Niners delivered their best defensive effort against the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday.

San Francisco yielded 265 total yards to Kansas City to capture the 22-17 victory. With the vaunted defense of the 49ers against the Rams, then they would have another chance of winning.

Jim Harbaugh utilized Frank Gore in running for 107 yards in 18 attempts, while Carlos Hyde added 43 yards in 10 tries. Moreover, the ground attacks provided the 49ers to take control of the tempo and to deny more time in the possessions of the opposing team.

Expect for the SF 49ers to have a balance offensive game, the passing and rushing having almost the same number of plays. Furthermore, there will always be a heavy battle for every plays as the two physical teams have to collide.
